Security & Compliance
Documents are transferred over TLS and stored on servers in Germany. We build them to EN 16931 and the ZUGFeRD / Factur-X specifications, and describe how we handle personal data in our Privacy Policy.
When e-invoicing becomes mandatory
2025
Germany: receiving
Since 1 January every business established in Germany must be able to receive EN 16931 e-invoices for domestic B2B. Issuing on paper or as a plain PDF is still allowed.
2026
France, Belgium, Poland
Belgium starts B2B via Peppol on 1 January, Poland switches on KSeF in February for large taxpayers and in April for the rest. From 1 September France requires everyone to receive, and large and mid-size companies to issue.
2027
Germany and France: issuing
From 1 January German companies with turnover above 800,000 euros must issue e-invoices. From 1 September French SMEs and micro-enterprises join the issuing obligation.
2028
Germany: everyone
From 1 January the German issuing obligation covers all remaining businesses, whatever their turnover. By then structured invoicing is the norm across the domestic B2B market.
