Why now

From 1 January 2027, businesses with total turnover above €800,000 in 2026 must issue their B2B invoices as e-invoices; from 2028, everyone else must too. If you don't know by then what your invoicing software produces, you will find out on the first working day of the year — from your customer. The beta covers exactly the weeks in which you can try this out calmly. What the mandate requires in detail is explained in E-invoicing mandate from 2027.

Get started in three steps

  1. Create an account — with an email address or a Google account.
  2. Enter your master data once: company name, address, VAT ID or tax number, bank details, logo. They appear on every invoice automatically, in the PDF and in the XML.
  3. Create your first invoice or upload an existing PDF invoice. When converting, the service extracts the data and highlights the fields you should check. Only then is the file created — amounts extracted from someone else's PDF should not be accepted blindly.

Checking works without an account too

If you only want to know whether an existing invoice meets the standard, you don't need an account: the public validator checks a file without sign-up, even outside the beta. An account adds the history — useful when you correct an invoice several times and check it again.

What happens after 31 December

Nothing without your action. Before the beta ends, we will email all registered users about what comes next. You will never be charged without placing an explicit order — there is no subscription that renews by itself, because no payment details are stored at all. If you stay on the Free plan afterwards, its quotas apply again.

The beta is a voluntary offer. We may end it early or change it; registered users will be informed by email beforehand.

What happens to your files

Generated invoices stay on the server for 24 hours and are then deleted; source files of a conversion after six hours, files from a check after one hour. So download your invoices right away. E-Rechnung Pro is not an archive — the eight-year retention remains your responsibility, see Retaining e-invoices.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to enter a credit card?

No. During the beta, we do not ask for payment details and do not accept payments.

Is an invoice created during the beta a full e-invoice?

Yes. The files are the same as on any other plan: ZUGFeRD 2.x / Factur-X as PDF/A-3 with embedded XML. All three profiles offered — BASIC, EN 16931 and EXTENDED — count as e-invoices; only MINIMUM and BASIC WL are excluded, and we do not produce those. Which profile fits what is explained under profiles.

Can I create XRechnung?

No. You can check XRechnung with us, but not create it. We create ZUGFeRD and Factur-X. When you need which format is explained in XRechnung or ZUGFeRD.

Why is batch processing not included?

Because during conversion, every field should be confirmed by a person. With a hundred invoices at once, exactly this step gets lost — during the beta, we want conversions to be done one at a time and checked.

Built on the standard in force

E-Rechnung Pro creates and validates documents against EN 16931:2017 — the version ZUGFeRD 2.x and Factur-X are built on today. We are following the EN 16931-1:2026 revision and will support it as the formats adopt it.
